“To say Billy was a one in a million horse would be an understatement! I still remember a little timid me going and trialing Billy, after breaking my tibia, fibia and growth plate in my left ankle from a bad fall. I was so nervous because I was still recovering and honestly, I was not very trusting of horses for a while. However if I had never met Billy, I would not be where I am today.

After bringing Billy home it wasn’t long before I learned how to be confident again and let myself be able to trust a horse to carry me around safely. Being able to have a horse like Billy took me from being to scared to trot around a paddock to confidently schooling and competing EvA 80 eventing and 95 CT. Not only did I get my confidence to go out and compete again but I got my first Horse Trials win plus many more. He even took me all the way to Toowoomba to compete at the 2017 PCA nationals in Tetrathlon where my team won!

There is not enough time in the world to give thanks to this beautiful horse who shaped me to believe in myself and show me that I don’t have to be scared anymore. Sadly he lost his battle with colic a year ago but his memory and legacy lives on. I know Billy will be resting among angels today because he truly was one.”
