CURTIS

Curtis, having retired early from the racing industry, being an unraced 3 year old, has gone on to a beautiful, loving home in Queensland. He would give his all no matter what and he’s a handsome lad to top it off.  With such a loveable personality, I feel privileged and honoured to retrain and work with such a unique horse and provide him with a  great home after racing.

VIVA

Viva La Stunner retired in July 2017 after a long racing career. She has been an absolute dream to retrain and I can safely say she is one of the best horses I have ever had. She has so much scope over jumps and is enjoying life as an Eventer.  Viva really proves how beautifully athletic ex racehorses can be in their new careers.

TEDDY

In Queensland, Teddy finished racing as a 5 year old and had a great career show jumping up to 1.30m. He had little dressage training but as a 10 year old he adapted and proved his worth and is testament to the versatility of thoroughbreds.

MERLIN

Merlin never made it to the race track but bred for racing he really shows what an incredibly versatile breed the thoroughbreds are. At just 7 years old, he qualified for his first 2* event in 2020 where he placed 2nd. Late 2019, he placed 2nd in both the 1.10m and 1.15m at the Australian Show Jumping Championships.

JERVOIS

Jervois had a long racing career, winning over $200k in prizemoney. He was a lovely horse to retrain and is living out his days on a beautiful property in Upper Beaconsfield, Victoria with his adoring owner Debbie.  Jervois has a very unique temperament and many people have shared in the joy of riding him since his retirement from racing in 2015.

SAILOR

Sailor retired after a lack lustre racing career. He took a while to settle and bond, he has been a bit trickier to work with than some however I absolutely adore him. If he was a person he would be a beautiful, charismatic & slightly eccentric man. Sailor loves to jump and has had great success show jumping as well as making the shift to eventing where he completed his first 2** within 12 months of his eventing career. He also made it to the final at Boneo in recent TV series “Jump Off” where he loved the crowd and was a bit of a show off.

HARRY KEWL

Harry Kewl arrived to me with the intention to play polo cross, however after jumping a log in the paddock I quickly realised he wanted to be a jumper, so this was what we did! A lovable and quirky personality Harry was athletic, clever and fast, he loved a speed class. Amongst many things, Harry won the Off The Track award at the Australian Show Jumping Championships twice in the Emerald series. Harry now teaches a young rider the ropes jumping and together they are a formidable team 2015.

KING CRUZ

Unraced NZ bred King Cruz, arrived a big ungainly 2 year old with the kindest temperament I have every seen. Renamed The Red Wiggle, he was so safe, bold & honest that he was the only horse I rode during and early after pregnancy and birth of my two children. Together we completed Melbourne International 3-day event, twice. The Wiggle now has a loving home in Queensland where he is teaching Lou Wheatley the ropes eventing.

ELVIS

Elvis the ‘Dude’ is a 4 year old with the most mature head on his shoulders. He came completely green but in 5 months has blossomed and shown a great aptitude for dressage and jumping. He’s a great future ahead of him.

ROSIE

Rosie, my little pocket rocket! Bought from Echuca Horse sales straight off the track she took a little bit of settling but once she found her feet, I found a powerful showjumper. In no time at all she went from no jumping to jumping everything. Now a proud mother of a 4 month old Tb x Wb colt, she is looking forward to picking up from where she left off.

BUSTER

Buster ….. the biggest most gentle giant. A career in racing then in eventing now a tried and tested reliable 17.1hh horse to show a beginner the way. He is so trustworthy he is a regular mount for a young horse-crazy 5 year old.
